All custom made items from our website or from your own inspiration picture/s is made exclusively for you and cannot be sold to anyone else. All custom items cannot be refunded nor returned therefore please carefully consider your design, fabrics, colours and dimensions before placing an order.
All orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of payment and before any raw materials have been purchased to commence your order.
Any off-the-shelf items and items in stock are subject to the returns and refunds policy below.
Custom item orders
Our custom items are products that require you to select based on your preferences. All our furniture items are custom made to order. You can change the look and feel of the concept product through frame legs, material type and colour, accessories etc. As this product is made to order, we purchase the raw material when you confirm the order and this is used solely on your order, therefore no exchanges and refunds are permissible and as such this is a non-qualifying item.
Off-the-shelf item orders
Our off-the-shelf items are products available immediately, i.e.: not made to order. This is defined as a qualifying item. For these items you enjoy a 14-day satisfaction guarantee. Please see our Exchange and Refund Policy below.
Ideation to creation product orders
Our completely customised items are products that are not displayed on our website and start with an image and brief from you based on your preferences. You can submit an image and guide on exact look and feel of the concept product through design, frame legs, material type and colour, accessories etc. As this product is made to order, no exchanges and refunds are permissible and as such this is a non-qualifying item.
We offer an exchange of the qualifying product within 14 days of delivery. Please note that exchanges are not possible on custom made products.
Send us a message to exchange a qualifying item. Once both parties are in agreement we will organise collection and drop off arrangements. Exchanges are subject to product availability at the time of the request for exchange. Should you exchange for an item that costs less than your initial purchase, the difference will be refunded back to the payment method used in the transaction. Please note it may take up to 14 business days for your refund to appear in your South African bank account.
Should you choose to exchange for an item that costs more than your original choice, you can settle the remaining amount via EFT.
Exchange Delivery fees
For qualifying items, there are no delivery fees applicable when you exchange the product. Items are required to be returned in its original packaging and protected in the same manner as when originally delivered. The item must be in a new unused condition and any items with defects not communicated within 24 hours of delivery cannot be exchanged.
Our return policy runs for 14 days. If 14 days have gone by after delivery, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund. Please note that exchanges are not possible on custom made products or that have been on sale.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition you received it. It must also be in the original protective packaging. Items that do not fill this criteria cannot be exchanged or refunded.
There are certain scenarios where only partial refunds are granted (where applicable)
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error and/or negligence
- Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery
- Items on sale and custom-made items cannot be returned.
The returned item will be inspected within 48 hours of arriving at our warehouse. Once we’ve determined it is in as-new condition, our team will process your return and issue a refund. All items need to be returned to our warehouse. You will be responsible for paying for your own delivery costs for returning your item. Delivery costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return delivery will be deducted from your refund and you will be refunded the net amount.
Please note it may take up to 14 business days for your refund to appear in your South African bank account.
Return Delivery fees
You will be responsible for paying for your own delivery costs for returning your item. If you decide to return your SK Home item(s), we will refund the purchase price less the return delivery fee.
Cancellation of an order
Custom made product orders cannot be cancelled once we have started production.
If we have agreed on a payment plan before starting production, then any item that has been ordered and (partially) paid for can be cancelled within 48 hours and a full refund of the amount paid will be made within 14 days.
Custom made orders and additional services
Custom made products are carefully and specifically made for you. We hold your hand through the process and hope that you are happy with your decision. Therefore, please be 100% sure before you it the order button as no refunds or exchanges can be made.
If there is a mistake or unintentional error, SK Home will rectify it as soon as possible. For more information, please refer to our Warranty section.
SK Home requires a 100% deposit to confirm your custom-made order. Once you have placed the order, the order is in production whereby no cancellation, no refund or exchange of product is possible.
Please note that additional service fees paid are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
This includes fees paid for design, consultancy, and possible sampling.
Any SK Home products shipped outside of South Africa are not covered by our return and exchange policy.
In the unlikely event your SK Home item arrives to you in a condition less than brand new, please email photos to email@example.com or call us immediately. We require you to send us photos within 24 hours after delivery. You can easily send your snaps/videos on WhatsApp +2783 988 8894.
All our products come with a 12 month of warranty on defects in workmanship, materials and construction from the date of purchase based on reasonable use.
As material wear differs based on use and care, we offer a 3 month guarantee on the material selected. This does not cover intentional, accidental, or unforeseen damage not doe sit cover general wear and tear.
Warranties do not apply to normal wear and tear or accidents such as:
1) Defects that result from negligence, misuse, or accidents by the customer.
2) Any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning or care.
3) The softening of foam and filling materials or creasing and wrinkling of the material under normal use.
